Strategic Pillar 5
Research
Sound interventions are built on sound evidence. At NuePath, we recognise that substance use patterns, risk factors and community vulnerabilities are not uniform—they vary by geography, socioeconomic context and cultural setting. Without locally generated data, responses remain generic and their impact unmeasured. This pillar embeds rigorous, area-specific research into our operational model, ensuring that every prevention, advocacy and recovery support effort is guided by contextual realities rather than assumptions. Through community-based needs assessments, ongoing programme monitoring and collaborative studies with academic and policy partners, we generate the evidence required to target resources precisely, measure outcomes credibly and continuously refine our approaches. In doing so, we uphold the standards of evidence-based public health practice and equip ourselves and our partners with the data necessary to advocate for smarter policies.
